ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At DS 22, we believe in environmental and social responsibility, that everyone should play a fundamental part of it.
David has worked on achieving ISO14001 Environmental Standard certification for
apartment and commercial developments in Dublin, for OMC's and PRS scheme clients. His
expertise in this area is extensive and DS 22 encourages all OMC Board of Directors to
embrace and obtain the ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard for their
development/business park/ block.
We all have our obligation to protect our environment and natural resources as well as
embracing corporate responsibility. The benefit is not just saving our planet and its
resources, but helping to create a healthier living and quality of life for all. Furthermore, it
also makes economic sense, as detailed in several professional expert reports including the
RICS 2009 Sustainability and Commercial Property Valuation Paper and RICS 2013
Sustainable Construction: Realising the opportunities for built environment professional
report.
Our key objectives:
- Enhance the wellbeing of residents, tenants, office and factory workers within the
development.
- Promoting and encouraging development users/occupants to cycle,
enjoy outdoor areas, recreational facilities, etc.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Responsibility towards the planet and future
generation.
- Economic reasons: Safe energy, reduce waste water, recycling = Reduction in cost of
managing a development.
- Preservation + enhancement of property asset value.
- Legislative Government Requirements
We achieve environmental & social responsibility by offering together with our partners, to
maintain, monitor and implement:

systems, fitting building fabric insulation, enhancing common areas and leisure
amenities, to name a few.
